Senior Copywriter

Qualifications & ResponsibilitiesSummary This position will report directly to the Creative Director.
The main function of a Copywriter, Sr.
is to create, edit, proofread and correct content for print, direct mail, promotional collateral and digital projects.
A successful candidate will have exceptional writing skills, must be able to interpret and communicate project instructions and write with the voice of the client.
A successful candidate will have the ability to:
Create content that is near flawless in terms of grammar and structure.
Use innate creative abilities to produce fresh, effective copy that meets or exceeds client expectations.
Work within deadline constraints that are often quite severe.
Must be a team player with the ability to assist designers in understanding the requirements of various assignments or changes to existing work.
Key Attributes:
Ability to work independently and/or take direction and/or collaborate with the Creative Director to bring ideas to life.
Uses innate creative talent to explore new and innovative approaches to assignments, but has the judgment necessary to know when a more traditional approach is the best choice Writes copy that adheres strictly to directions provided in terms of length, subject matter, tone, approach and production requirements.
Takes ownership of projects and, when necessary, manages them from inception to release to production.
Reacts calmly and quickly to changes, finding innovative ways to solve problems associated with messaging and language.
Possesses a clear understanding of acceptable grammar, spelling and other requirements based on the AP Stylebook, industry norms and client brand standards.
Demonstrates creativity and the ability to find new ways to approach promotional content, making it effective within the context of specific assignments.
Has the ability to prioritize the workload and handle multiple simultaneous projects within tight deadline constraints.
Is able to understand and solve problems quickly and creatively.
Seeks and considers input and suggestions from team members, account management, the client and other available sources.
Understands that ideas can come from many sources and has the ability to recognize and leverage them.
Required technical knowledge, education and skills:
8-10 years of experience as a writer, communicator and content creator within agency and/or client environments.
A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Communication Arts, Journalism, English or other related discipline.
Expert knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence structure.
Will be expected to edit the work of others and themselves.
Must understand and reference AP Stylebook guidelines.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and other print production applications is useful, but not required.
Functional knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
).
Excellent communication skills along with solid organizational and follow-through abilities.
Desired Skills:
Automotive writing experience is a huge plus.
A self-starter that is detail-oriented and able to adhere to tight deadlines.
Has the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Able to understand client and brand guidelines, along with other written procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
