Machinery Maintenance Technician
IHI Ionbond Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair machinery and equipment on a regular or as needed basis throughout the coating centers in North America. This position is based out Madison Heights, Michigan reporting to the Regional Operations Manager.
Major areas of Accountability:
Performs preventive maintenance services consistent with established programs and schedules (example calibration of machinery).
Document and maintain all equipment modifications, maintenance histories, drawings, blueprints and schematics.
Evaluate complex and unusual repair & maintenance needs and advises management of the requirement for outside contractors.
Install and uninstall coating machines, cleaning lines, etc.
Build new and repair coating fixturers.
Monitor uptime for all equipment; develop and implement plans to minimize equipment breakdowns.
Work closely with Production and Engineering.
Assist the Plant Manager in establishing specifications for purchases of new equipment.
Troubleshooting.
Mentor and train local maintenance and operators at coating centers.
Active participation in ISO 9000 Process and create ISO procedures & work instructions.
Perform building repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
And any other assigned tasks.
Minimal
Qualifications:
Two years experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or electronics
Technical or Trade School education preferred
Electrical and Electronic troubleshooting experience a must
Vacuum deposition and heat treatment maintenance experience
General knowledge on PLC controls
Experience with meters, scopes, schematics and good mechanical aptitude
Labview and ProfiBus experience would be a plus
Independent Worker, Self Starter
Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
US citizenship or permanent residency is a requirement for this position.
Ability to travel 50-75% throughout North America.
