Summary:
Under limited supervision, provides security services to St. John Providence Health System facilities as directed. Carrying a gun is required.
Required Certifications, Registration or Licensure:
Valid Michigan operator's license.
Valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
Minimum Knowledge and Education:
High School Education or G.E.D. required
Associates Degree Preferred
Understanding of basic security principles as it applies to safeguarding people and property.
Understanding of basic criminal law as it applies to the non-certified security officer
Understanding the basic principles of customer service.
Minimum Work
Experience: Any 1 of the following must apply:
1 year experience as a law enforcement officer.
18 months experience as a reserve police officer.
18 months experience as a non-certified security officer with a medium to large hospital, industrial complex, or manufacturing concern.Service and Trades
Organization: St. John Oakland HospitalEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
