Summary:
The Retail Loss Prevention Specialist will implement loss prevention procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent and minimize theft, and reduce shortages and fraud.
This Position will be based out of the corporate office in Madison Heights, MI.
This position will work evening shifts 3:
00pm - 10:
30pm and weekend availability is required.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
Audits and investigates sources of known losses.
Monitors inventory to identify theft or shortages.
Analyze reports to identify losses.
Investigate suspicious data results.
Investigates suspicious customer and/or employee activity.
Conducts periodic testing of alarm and video surveillance systems.
Conducts periodic inspections of stores and facilities to ensure surveillance and security equipment is functioning properly.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to prevent theft at point of sale or inventory storage areas.
Prepares reports on effectiveness of established prevention measures.
Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures.
Advise Management teams on more effective loss prevention techniques.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies and procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and documentation.
Must have reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement) Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred.
One to three years of experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement required.
One to three years of experience in data protection related to retail loss prevention required.
Experience in analyzing data in a retail environment.
Experience reading and understanding sales and inventory reports.
Excellent attention to detail Effective communication and record keeping skills.
Cannabis knowledge a plus Dutchie experience a plus Physical Requirements:
Must be able to access all of the company's properties to inspect security measures.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Ability to visually monitor cameras for up to 10 hours a day.
