McNaughton-McKay Electric Company Content & Communications Specialist - Madison Heights, MI OR Norcross, GAThe Content & Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing, curating, and optimizing content across various platforms.
The Content Specialist will be a creative thinker with excellent writing and editing skills, a strong understanding of digital marketing and the ability to align content strategies with overall marketing initiatives.
In this role, you will:
Develop high-quality, engaging content for a variety of channels, including website, blog, social media, email, presentations, printed materials, external communications and more.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and maintain meaningful content that is attention grabbing and easy to understand for all target audiences.
Collaborate with the internal content & communications teams to design and craft content that aligns with the company's brand voice, overall content strategy and business objectives.
Ensure all content is grammatically correct, error-free, and follows brand guidelines.
Collaborate and implement content measurement strategies including catalog of tracking and key phrases.
Conduct content audits and research to identify trends, keywords and areas for improvement.
Assist with SEO optimization by improving and creating content that increases search engine visibility and drives organic traffic.
Collaborate with marketing operations to conduct keyword research and integrate targeted wording into content.
Monitor content performance and make data-driven recommendations for content optimization.
Researches and utilizes AI tools to enhance high-quality content in various formats for maximum usability with a compelling, consistent voice and tone.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to be successful include:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.

years experience as a Content Specialist, Content Writer, or similar role.
4
years experience in communications, marketing, and public engagement with a demonstrable body of work.
Ability to work with a high level of independence and initiative driving projects forward.
Ability to provide insight and direction, helping to guide team towards shared objectives.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with best practices in SEO, content KPIs and content management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative thinking and the ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand content.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks, as directed while still exhibiting their own creativity and initiative as appropriate.
Must have the ability to build rapport, inspire confidence, establish trust and credibility, and be a part of a team.
