A growing testing laboratory located in Madison Heights, has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Office Manager.
Our organization provides testing primarily to the automotive community.
Responsibilities:
These duties involve providing office support for the company in areas such as filing, answering telephones, emails, data entry, file management, copying, program tracking, internet research and general office support tasks that will often be interrupted.
Knowledge of all general office procedures is important.
Good command of Excel is a huge plus.
Also, the applicant must have a friendly and professional demeanor and appearance to interface with customers and suppliers, on the phone and in person.
Other additional duties include helping with the general organization of personal and business-related items for a busy director including; scheduling of occasional appointments, making phone calls, a fair amount of general research, possibly entering accounts receivable and accounts payable info, coordinating receipts, reviewing credit card statements, etc.
This portion of the position requires the applicant to work along with a director that is always juggling too much to do with too little time, therefore a need for professionalism and great organizational skills is highly desirable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal applicant will be a team player with an upbeat personality who is easy to get along with.
Applicant must be detail oriented, well-organized, friendly and outgoing, with great communication and interpersonal skills, and have a professional appearance and manner.
Position requires a good understanding of how to use the Internet including searches, a Web browser and e-mail, as well as very solid skills in MS Word, Excel and Quickbooks (these computer skills are a core of the applicant's daily duties and are required for consideration).
Solid writing skills including the ability to write effective e-mails and correspondence are important.
Reliable transportation and dependability is required.
Office experience is necessary, but the right attitude, aptitude and organizational skills are the most important assets an applicant can bring to the interview.
The applicant should recognize their role as a critically supportive one.
COMPENSATION:
Salary for this position will range from $30,000 - $55,000
per year based upon experience and abilities.
