Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager & Millwork Shop Drawing Specialist.
The primary responsibilities of this role include overseeing projects from initiation to completion, managing a team of AutoCAD drafters, and producing millwork shop drawings as required.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in millwork engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 5-10 AutoCAD drafters responsible for producing millwork shop drawing submittals.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Plan, organize, and schedule project activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and provide guidance to team members.
Produce accurate and detailed millwork shop drawings using AutoCAD.
Review shop drawings for quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with TraceWorks and industry standards.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
Maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, keeping them updated on project status and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in millwork engineering and project management.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software for millwork shop drawing production.
Solid understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading and mentoring a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
