The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly handled and recorded.
This includes verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will also be responsible for managing warehouse inventory levels and ensuring that all shipping and receiving activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key
Responsibilities:
Accurately process and record incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying quantities and inspecting packages for damage Pack, seal, label, and document shipments using appropriate packing materials and methods Coordinate with carriers to arrange shipping and receiving activities Work with other departments to ensure proper shipment packaging, crate building and skidding Assist management with audits or reconciliations of inventory or shipments Identify and resolve any shipment and inventory discrepancies and discrepancies with respect to shipping and receiving Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly shipping and receiving targets Qualifications &
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of experience working in shipping and receiving Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment Excellent organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and requirements Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
